Future Film Force is a film production group and part of the Visual Story class at the Entertainment Technology Center. During this class, Future Film Force was given the challenge to create a Team Promo, Retrofit, Game Trailer and a Music Video, each with their own specifications. FFF’s dynamic team consists of Albert Gea, Danny Hausmann, Elwin Lee, Dicky Lou and Eric Zhang.
Team Promo
The first assignment was to come up with a 60 second promotional short on our team together with a 10 second animated logo. The objective is to show off your team’s talent in a creative way. The concept for the video was based on us having super powers and using those power for our own benefit. Check out the video to see what kind of powers we posses and if these are used for the good or evil!
Retrofit: Tenacious D
For the Retrofit video, Future Film Force picked out a scene from Tenacious D to recreate by producing and analyzing the script, shot list, overhead schematic and storyboard based on the original footage.
Game Trailer: Mario Paint
The Game Trailer assignment had a different approach to film making. While the previous films were doing entirely by the film itself, this assignment required us to create a video based on the concept and pre-production of a different team. Our associate film team, Ninja Babies, delivered a story based on Mario Paint and provided us with all the necessary resources such as sound clips and artwork. Our task was to actually shoot and produce the film and add or change anything that seemed complimentary to concept.
Music Video: Maybe so, maybe no
Future Film Force always had the idea to create a martial arts / fight scene for one the videos. The Music Video assignment on the other hand gave us 3 random topics; a color, object and theme, which had to be incorporated into our concept. The given topics were: 1) Daring Yellow, 2) Necklace and 3) A Romance Story. While these topics were nowhere near related to combat, we were able to combine all these topics and come up with a flirtatious fight scene revolving an Oreo cookie.
